In addition to our winery business, Quinta do Fôjo began an evolutionary project in 2016 to offer “Turismo Rural” and we invite our guests to join us and during your stay to share some of the good feeling of living in the Douro Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage region.

We offer 2x air-conditioned, double bedrooms available in the main house; each has their own bathroom (though as it’s a traditional quinta these are not en-suite); on occasion we may be able to accommodate a single group of up to 8 people.

Together with with the granite construction of the house and positioning we feel it allows for a cool environment with good, natural ventilation whilst being eco-friendly by minimising our use of power. Fans together with mosquito nets are also available should you wish to use them.

We offer a continental breakfast that focuses on home-made products sourced from small producers, helping to sustain the local economy. We are happy to provide guidance and suggestions on places to visit and, upon request, we can offer personalised picnic hampers to keep you sustained during any daytime local trips - only to end the day relaxing poolside.

As we remain a working farm we regret we are presently unable to offer dedicated facilities either for young children or for people who are mobility-impaired. Free parking is available on-site.
